		<description>I encountered someone with this defeatist attitude towards employment, too, and he hadn&#039;t even been to prison.  (But he did have a felony conviction on his record.)  I think with some people it&#039;s a continuation of what they&#039;ve probably done all their life--blamed someone else for their problems instead of facing the reality that they [more often than they might think] have a choice.  At the same time, as someone who tends to feel sorry for herself on a regular basis, I do sympathize.  It takes a lot of guts to just go for it despite how hopeless it feels.</description>
