When a particular person has told you that your choice not to marry means you should never be able to have sex, and then takes many, many opportunities to remind you about how great her married life is, it grates on a person.

Well crap, it cut out half of my comment. That ought to read, “OMG HOW DARE YOU BE HAPPY WHEN THERE ARE SO MANY MISERABLE PEOPLE IN THE WORLD. That’s a circular argument, for one thing. For another, it’s just hating, and that stems from jealousy and a sneaking suspicion of inferiority, and also being a poopy-head. (That’s the official, clinical term, by the way.)”
