According to Map 1: Geographically

Keep the Northeast, West, South and Southeast the same.

Changed divisions would be:

PHI-PIT-BAL-WSH
MIN-GB-DET-CHI
IND-CLE-CIN-CAR
DEN-KC-STL-TEN

I think this would work geographically while keeping some of the historic rivalries (NFC North), PIT-BAL, and DEN-KC

To keep the existing divisions, they just swap Cowboys and Panthers, then a three way Dolphins-Colts-Ravens/Steelers switch. Would make a lot more sense with minimum disruption.

Why would you mix up AFC and NFC teams? It makes no sense!

I am still mystified that there is a 1A college football division that has a commute for a game of Louisiana to Hawaii (or vice versa) every year.

You worried me there for a second. The closest NFL team to 118.35 dg west is the Chargers. AND WE KNOW HOW I FEEL ABOUT THE CHARGERS, DON'T WE.
